Capitalistic Society

leave a comment »

We all take issue with the Federal Reserve for good reason.
Our dollar is losing value because the Fed has the ability to effortlessly make money out of “thin air”.
People see this and say it has to stop because it will inevitably destroy our economy.
It’s constantly suggested that we go back to the gold standard.

But isn’t this the issue we face being a capitalistic society? Don’t we need a Central bank to loan out more money when we have the ability to buy and sell goods and services.
If we strictly went by the gold standard we would eventually run out of money.

According to Forbes, there were 403 billionaires in the US, as of March 2010. And according the Wall Street Journal, there were 3.1 million millionaires in 2010, with a combined wealth of $11.6 trillion. That is AT THE VERY LEAST (assuming all billionaires only had $1billion each) $12 trillion in combined wealth.

In a capitalistic society money is power so there for people make money to save money. And if people who are making big money, are also saving big money it eventually thins out the money supply. If the millionaires and billionaires are holding onto at least $12 trillion that’s less money circulating. The more money people are saving means the more money we will inevitably have borrow from the Fed.

No matter what any person says, EVERYONE wants to be wealthy. Everyone wants financial freedom and the ability to live life just as they please. Yet, we argue against the practices of a system that grants us the potential to one day rich, the very thing we all want.

Not only was this system designed to keep the US in debt, it was designed to fail.

Conspiracy Theory… Elenin.

leave a comment »

Like most people, I love a good conspiracy theory. They provide colorful entertainment to reality. As much as people try to provide “evidence” to their claims it’s likely they are trying to convince their self as well as everyone else.

Conspiracy theories more often than not have to do with the government. These I find most interesting and entertaining. There are times when someone will present actual proof and evidence of an politician’s wrong doings or a clear ‘miscommunication’ at the highest levels of government that leads to some unnecessary war. But aside from that, it’s a lot of opinions, and “I was told by ‘someone important'” information that really stirs the conspiracies and gets everyone hyped up. It takes an objective person to eventually decipher the b.s. from the legit information.

Currently there is the comet Elenin conspiracy that has gained widespread attention. The conspiracy is as follows (the story often varies, but this is the gist of it): Comet Elenin is not a comet. It is the planet Nibiru that is going to in one way or another bring catastrophe to the planet Earth. World wide earthquakes are to be expected, as well a shifting of our north and south poles. The planet Earth is going to be basically scorched from massive sun rays. All the major governments of the world already know this and have built underground bunkers so that only the richest of the Rich, and the most powerful people of the planet will be protected and survive the end of the world…as we now know it. Basically the scariest parts of the Bible. The idea that the US government knows all this is linked to the fact that the U.S. economy is in such rapid decline.Oh, and it’s suppose to really get bad by the end of September 2011. Sept. 26, 2011 to be exact.

It’s by far the most elaborate dooms day conspiracy theory I personally have ever heard. It’s pretty frightening stuff that is put out on the internet about this comet Elenin and what’s to be come of our planet with in a months time.

Now, there are folks out there who really believe this is going on. There are people who believe the U.S. government is really about to throw them under the bus, and not give so much as a warning. But, if people really believed this to be true, wouldn’t they be doing more than just making videos about it and posting them to youtube, or going on conspiracy theory forums and posting more information they found while surfing the net. In fact, if people really believed their government was keeping them in the dark about the End of the World wouldn’t there be riots all across the country? The same people who believe our planet Earth is going to be rocked and turned upside down starting within a months time are the same people going to work and paying their bills and taxes. Just goes to show people don’t really believe what they are selling. If I ever thought for a second that the world was going to end in a month or two, I would not spend that time online trying to scare the living hell out of everyone else. Think about it.

Parting Parties

leave a comment »

What if….. This great national we call the United States of America did something extraordinary. What if America detached from her bi polar arrogance by setting aside the constant political competitiveness that enables propaganda and manipulating methods that mislead the citizens who are occupied with personal issues and obligations and lack time and or motivation to learn the truth behind what they are voting for.

Democrat and Republican are the primary political parties that make up our government. Ideological difference between the two cause social disruptions as the two parties constantly fight for control of the Executive and Legislative Branches of government so that they can selfishly carry out their ideological agenda for the entire country. When these two branches of government are split, you pretty much get a stale mate; because one party Hates to help the other party look productive cause then voters see no reason in handing power back over to the other party. It’s a pathetic cycle. So much negativity is perpetuated in a system that is supposed to help make our country better. Anyone who steps back and observes our political system can see it causes more strife and is full of more corruption than US citizens are even aware of.

What if the American government came to the realization that staying together just for the kids, maybe isn’t such a wise idea and that maybe a divorce is sometimes necessary to spare the back and forth heartache. In other words, divide the country in half; Republicans have 25 states, Democrats have 25 states.  Now the tug of war for power can end, and people can live in the political world of their choosing. Yes, it would obviously require major reform, but at the same time once it’s all said and done, everyone gets what they generally want. The direction our country is going now, we are facing a meltdown. No one wants to cooperate because Democrats and Republicans live in subcultures and are extremely reluctant to go across the aisle to do what’s ultimately in the best interest of the American people.  Too many politicians want to play it safe for the sake maintaining power. Separate the parties, then the parties can run things their own way without being blocked by the opposition.

The Game of Politics

leave a comment »

Election season brings out the worst in people as a select few fight to obtain power that will enable them to govern the rest of society. Elections are nothing more than public popularity contest. Money is a candidate’s best friend because the more money they have, the easier they can reach everyday voters with their messages. Messages that pat themselves on the back for what they consider to be good deeds and ignoring their faults, while ignoring the good deeds performed by their opponent(s) and bluntly pointing out their faults.  It’s a vicious cycle repeated every two years.

Politicians are generally people who come from upper class society who typically want nothing to do with people who are of lower class. That is until these people in upper class are running for some public office. Suddenly, they are normal everyday people. Suddenly, they are willing to sit down and listen to people of lower classes and pretend to take an interest in their concerns. Suddenly, they need something from the people who they didn’t give a shit about before….now they way to represent you.

Your Local representative, doesn’t matter what position, now represents you and the whole district or state. These are people with power and influence and no matter how many of them say they believe in Jesus Christ and are devout Christians, they are still human and still susceptible to temptation and thinking about themselves. So all the times they are approached by lobbyist and not just lobbyist, but people who have the money to pay for whatever it is they want, these politicians all too frequently take the “money”. And the reason the take it is because they all know, they may not be back in that position again, and if they don’t take it, the next person in office may, SO you take care of yourself and your family, right? It’s the money and power exchange, with money comes power, with power comes money, and politicians know this.

There are a few public officials who do it because they want to do some good in this world, but there’s not many. When you seen them on TV, how often do you see a look of compassion in their eyes. No, it’s about demonizing the other party, and promoting one’s self. How often is politics about what’s good for the country as a whole and not just what one party prefers. Politics is a game of tug and war, a constant theatrical fight for power to push forward an ideological agenda. The county remains slit because of this. And as long as our county is controlled by two separate parties this is how it will remain. We get so caught up in the constant competition of politics that we forget that we as ordinary people make up the government. Government is failing because we the people are allowing our government to fail. We see the bullshit that’s going on yet we set back and complain about, so therefore it continues and will continue until we wake up and realize our government is only possible because we allow it to be. The United States Declaration of Independence, which is primarily written by Thomas Jefferson states, “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”  In layman terms it means, you have the moral right to do something, when you see something going wrong. Politicians want us to think that our only role in government is our one vote. We have to ability to change the bullshit we see going on, we are just too ignorant and too lazy to get involved and demand our public official do what is in our best interest.  We get to caught up in taking sides as if we have to pick one or the other. If you’re not feeling comfortable with the people running for office then DON’T VOTE! Don’t get caught up in the hype of election season. Don’t get caught up in the handshakes and smiles and the “I’m just like you” talk. It’s all a show to acquire power. And dumb people fall for it every election season.

It IS About Money. Part I

leave a comment »

When it comes to money, the only people you will hear say anything about not wanting or needing money are the people who don’t have money and see no way of ever acquiring large amounts of it. These people have come to terms with their financial status and are content knowing they’ll never be wealthy.  They know money will bring them a new comfort in life, but feel foolish trying to obtain it, so in order to avoid seeking wealth, they convince themselves that money is not the answer to a fulfilling life…. But it is.

People who are Million dollar rich, know the ups and downs of having money. They know money can bring in a lot of enemies and people scheming on ways to get their money, but they also know one thing. They would much rather have money and all the problems that come with it, rather than having to work a fixed schedule, 40hrs a week just to make ends meet. Cause even if you are making $15 to $20/hr you can’t often afford to get sick and miss a week of work. The system for the working class isn’t designed for people to get ahead. It’s designed to keep you working clear to the age of 65 and maybe  longer. If you are working for some company, even making $20/hrs ($3,200/month), that company is profiting big off of your employment. While $20/hr is a great job, unless you manage your money very wisely, and lets be honest, most of us aren’t disciplined enough to manage our own finances, you’ll be working for that company clear into retirement. And it’s no secret, most us are not making anywhere near $20/hr. So while that’s a generous example, it’s not to realistic for everyday people. But it’s to illustrate the point that even making that much money still isn’t producing the financial freedom people would love to have.  Freedom from everyday financial worries, such as having enough to pay the bills for the months as well as keeping food on the table, allows a person to have peace of mind.

“Money is evil.” There is no way money can be evil if it gets you the things you need and want. Many people hold the idea that money is evil. They recite out of context bible references to back their theory. Money is freedom. Money is Comfort. Money is the ticket to have, be or do, pretty much what ever you wish. It’s what a person does with money that can be considered evil.

People feel money is hard to acquire. But that’s not true. Money comes. Walking down the side walk you see quarters, dimes, and nickles and most of us pick them up, but we often pass on the pennies. Why? Maybe because we are not as serious about money as we often think we are. “Oh a penny isn’t enough to do anything.” Pennies add up. Save! Money comes. It’s not a lot at once, but becomes a lot over time.  Passing up the penny you see on the ground really says a lot. But I’m not going to get into all that in the blog. But I will say this, Changing your attitude toward money will change you relationship with money. To have money is not a bad thing. To often we feel like having a lot of money means we have sold our souls. Many people feel, “Yeah, it would be nice to have millions.” but they don’t feel they deserve it or are worth it. And that’s where it starts. Rich people feel they deserve it and that they are worth it, So they get it.  It’s as if they attract it to their life because they feel it’s what they truly deserve, without a doubt. If given the chance, observe some rich person and take note at their seemingly, almost subtle air of arrogance. They feel they deserve every penny they have, no matter how they acquired it.  And that’s it, being rich, starts with your state of mind and attitude toward money. You get what you feel you are worth.  Money, money, money. It’s all about money.

Your Race, Or The Human Race?

leave a comment »

I came across a program on, I think it was TV1. It was a panel of maybe 12 or so black activist (I guess that’s what they were) who were having a discussion on various African American issues. The discussion was hosted by Roland Martin, a man I truly respect and admire for his “fresh perspective” on things- not just political, but also social.

Seeing that Roland Martin was moderating the discussion, and being an admirer of his perspective on most issues, I decided to watch. Rev. Al Sharpton was one of the participants in the panel, and I must say, I grow increasing respect for the man for his wisdom. All the participants in the discussion, for the most part,  made very valid points and suggestions, and all were very passionate about the building up of the African American community. It was sort of inspiring. But then something occurred to me.

Yes, it was the same talk you hear amongst African Americans on establishing pride, and justice, and civil rights, and social equality, and education, and family, and so on and so forth.  But if blacks want to be socially equal, why hold these discussion amongst just themselves.  As I watched this ongoing panel discussion, it almost seemed like more of a pep rally. Everyone giving their words of motivational advice to go out and fight. Yes, blacks need to fight, but don’t you think the fight has changed? If people want to get past the issue of race and to start living as equal then it is not wise  as a race to talk in a subcultured manner as if we’re battling one another. The fight in America has changed. The economy is in complete despair. It’s not black against white anymore, it’s rich against poor. We have an African American President. African Americans shattered the race barrier the day the First Black family moved into the White House.

It’s time to move past building up one race or another. It does more harm then good in the long run. The division of class is more dangerous the the division of  race.  If we can all work together and work toward building the lower class together, we will improve our country far more greater than just working to build our own particular races. Our energy to help can be better focused if everyone works together. Our economy is strained, yet the rich are getting richer, and not only are the poor getting poorer, More people are sinking to the poverty level. Focusing our energies on We The People instead of Black Power or White Power, will build our country and take it back from the corporations and the rich that are driving it to the dirt. The rich may have the money to buy off politicians, but the rich can not buy and extra vote come election day. One person, one vote.

If we all can define what we want this country to be, and focus on the politicians who share our vision we can start getting somewhere. If politicians seem to be corrupt then we vote there sorry asses out and vote in people who will up hold the Constitution and not ignore it nor try to change it. We the people have to right to revolution if the government is not doing what’s right by it’s people. But we can no do that if we are so divided by something such as race. Sure we should be proud of our own person heritage and culture, but we are also citizens of one of the greatest nations in the world: The United States of America. And until we become the United Citizens of American, we can not expect major change nor can we expect those above us to put our wants and need along side theres. Unity is the key to progress. Think about it.

Mosque at ground zero?

leave a comment »

I set and scratch my head on this one. The people of New York City, as well as a great deal of other’s through out the US are highly against the idea of a Mosque being built anywhere near ground zero. Understandable, given the unofficial story of what took place that dreadful dead on Sept. 11, 2001. This is where I get a little annoyed… and just for a heads up, I’m not a conspiracy theorist or anything of the sort, I look at facts and evidence, but here’s where I get annoyed- Just hours after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11th, the top officials, without concrete proof through out the name, Usama Bin Laden. Without verifying his direct involvement in the hijacking of four commercial airplanes, our government quickly associated Bin Laden to this heinous act. I’m not defending the bastard one bit, but even to this day, 9 years later, no one has come across any credible evidence to tie Usama Bin Laden to what happened that day. The government to this day will not admit that they can not prove Bin Laden had anything to do with it. They just CAN NOT prove it.

The terrorist who hijacked the plans are believed to be Muslim extremist. A Muslim or Moslem is an adherent of the religion of Islam. Islam is the second largest religion in the world with about 1.57 billion Muslims, almost a quarter of the worlds population. A great deal of U.S. citizens believe Usama Bin Laden conceived the idea of flying airplanes into U.S. buildings and he directed 19 muslims to execute his plan based on religious (Islamic Muslim) motives.  But if you can’t prove Bin Laden had any involvement in the first place, then you have to scrap the idea that the attacks on Sept. 11 2001, were  based on religious factors. The whole story is merely a suggestion without evidence and is misleading the American people.  Because of this unofficial story of why it happened and who was behind it, the American people are being discriminative against the second largest religion in the world and protesting its constitutional right to build it’s place of worship where it choses. The U.S. government should step up to the plate and admit what they know and don’t know about who attacked us on 9/11, cause the misplaced resentment being displayed is causing more harm than good. The people who know the truth are setting back and laughing at the American people who are reacting passionately to what seems to be insult to injury.

Some might suggest the debate is merely a distraction but I say, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the building of a Mosque at or around ground zero. Let’s get the facts straight and move on.

To whom the choice belongs…

Folks who don’t support gay marriage are well within their rights to not do so. If you don’t agree with your gay neighbor marrying his or her same-sex partner that’s your absolute right. But it’s not right to protest the union of of two people who truly love one another and wish to have their relationship legally recognized.

Homosexuality in the U.S. is widely looked at as taboo; so much in fact many gay and lesbian individuals will hide their sexual orientation out of simple fear of persecution from family, friends and the overall general public. So when someone comes that point in their life where they are comfortable with who they are, and decide to let it be known to the world that they are in fact gay, we should not ridicule them for being brave enough to stand up to society and say, “This is who I am, and I’m comfortable with it.” We should applaud them and accept it, and not make their lives uncomfortable because deep inside we don’t have the guts to admit our own true characteristics that make us different from the majority.

When two gay people come together and decide to make a life time commitment, why not afford them the same right to be happily married. The holy matrimony of two same-sex individuals is not a threat to the to the institution of marriage.  People argue that marriage is sacred between a man and a woman, but the high divorce rate in the U.S. even for couples being married for the first time contradicts the argument of sacredness.

It’s sad when we live in a free country where we use our personal beliefs to discriminate against those different from us, thus, preventing the tie that binds.  Just a few short decades ago blacks and whites who wished to wed one another were met with the similar opposition. Our culture has made significant progress since those days, and I believe the day will soon come where it’s no longer a fight for the right to marry whoever makes you happy, without legal or social opposition. Let’s get it together America.
